Allen Marc Levy lives in Oregon with his wife, their son, and two dogs, a Husky-Shepherd mix and a Belgian Malinois. He served 30 years in the U.S. Army, retiring as a Major after a career in Civil Affairs, Intelligence, and operational leadership. Those experiences provided the foundation for the military realism, leadership, and political conflict found throughout the Sovereign Knight series.

Away from the keyboard, Allen enjoys spending time with his family and has a lifelong love of animals, especially horses. Most animals seem to trust him almost immediately; Chihuahuas, on the other hand, have yet to get the memo.
